Research and Academic Development Grant Program

Grant Information

Grant Information

Grant Information

The IAAI Foundation Research and Academic Development Grant Program supports the creation and delivery of education and training for the fire investigation community. The program also funds the design and development of professional development and certification initiatives that advance the field, as well as testing and research in subject areas directly related to fire investigation.

Unless expressly stated in a specific funding announcement or special grant solicitation, this program does not support capital improvements or construction projects.

To Apply for Grant organizations should type out Grant Proposal and submit that proposal to the IAAI Foundation for review.

Grant proposals are accepted throughout the Year and Grants must provide full details with budget line items to be considered.

Each agency or organization must wait three years between each grant request (excluding the IAAI ITC Grants Awarded).

Eligibility

Grant Information

Grant Information

The IAAI Foundation Research and Academic Development Grant Program is open to public-sector governmental organizations and U.S. tax-exempt, recognized not-for-profit organizations (for U.S.-based applicants), as well as recognized not-for-profit organizations based outside the United States. Eligible organizations must be actively engaged in supporting and/or training fire investigators; developing academic, professional development, or certification programs for fire investigators through research, testing, or other methods; or conducting testing and research in fields directly related to fire investigation.

In general, eligible organizations may have only one active grant at any given time and may not apply for a new grant until thirty six months after the formal closeout of a previously accepted grant (Excluding IAAI ITC Grants). Grant applications that are rejected or not accepted remain immediately eligible for resubmission during the next grant review cycle.
